Summer Learning Journey ~ He nuka pāngarau

Today I have done another activity called he nuka pāngarau. In this activity I used my multiplication, division, addition, and subtraction skills, to get the final answers for each three slides. This activity was in Maori so I translated it to english using a translator. After I finished the slides I tried it on Te Raumati, and she was interested in learning the method of doing this. I really enjoyed doing this activity because I like learning new magic skills to try on my whanau and friends.

  1. Kia Ora Chisa,

My name is Zana and I am a blog commenter from the summer learning journey.

I think this activity is great as it combines two things that I love: maths and magic. These little word problem magic tricks are a great way to make math exciting. It is cool to see that they worked on your Te Raumati and you were able to trick each other with your math magic.

It is also great to see you completed the task in Te Reo Māori, did you learn any new Te Reo words?

Keep up the good work and I hope to see more of your posts during the Summer Learning Journey!!

    Ngā mihi nui,
    Zana Yates
