Kiwisports

LI.To learn how to play the Taniwha Role.

This week for kiwi sports we had 3 challenges.

The first chalenge was that everyone had to throw the ki at the Tupu to get a score in 1min 19 sec.

The second challenge was get the whole team hitting the tupu - sit in the Te Ao in 1 min 58 sec.


The third challenge was to hit tupu with kaitiaki guarding.Score was 2.


  • Stay in Te Rotu - Stay out of pawero.

This is all about number 50.We had to write down how does the number 50 is.For an exaple 50cents and 5x10=50.

KIwi sports

LI. to learn the areas of the field in Ki o Rahi.
Today at kiwi sports there were areas.These are some of the words that we leart:
1.Te Ao-'' the world''
2.pou-''The teeth''
3.Te Roto-''The river''
4.Pawero-''The island''
5.Tupu-''The rock''
6.Te Aru- ''The ice bridge''
The Te Ao is that world that is the dark green parts.Pou is the yellow CD retaingal of the taniwha's 7 teeths.Te Roto is the light green witch is the river around it.Pawero is the light orange circal which is call the land.Tupu is the the dark orange in the center which it is called the rock.Te Aru is the bottom center which 2 players  go in and protect the rock.

Today  with my group we wrote about conpare and contrust.
We had to think of what makes a team a team by sports team and a learning groups, and we also had to think of what they do it the same.

LI.How do yu make a good  thing and bad things.

Kiwi Can|Positive Relationships and Positive Communication

LI.to learn about active Listening.

This week of kiwi can we were learning about active listening.We learnt by playing a game called remote controller and chop suey salute.

The first game we played was the remote controller and we had to liseten to Mr Alapati.We had to listen to these words carefully:

  • Fast forward
  • Play 
  • Stop 
  • Rewind


The next activity was chop suey salute.We played it around the circle and Mr Alapati said the numbers:1,2,3,4,5.Sometimes we had double numbers and triple numbers like 2,4,5.We had to find the master of the game and the master was Mote.

Kiwi can:Positive Relationships,Positive Communication

LI: To have a positive relationship towards people.

Today was  the first week of kiwi can.We had a new kiwi can teacher called Mr Alupati.
We stilll had Ms Paige still for the kiwi can teacher.First we did the rules expectation. Which is:

  • No talking when the teachers talking.
  • Listening to the teachers.
  • Beioing on your best behavior.
  • Treat people the way you wanted to be treated.

Holiday Re-count


LI:To plan and write a re-count.
Today in writing I wrote a recount that it was on my holiday.I enjoyed it that I want to go to the ASB classic again.

I wrote this recount by making a plan and wrote all the holiday activitys in a piece of paper.I chosed ASB classic because I ate three ice cream in one day and it was yum.
After I finished my planning we had to copy what is in the piece of paper that shows the plan in to a, recount.

Graphs | Hand drawn & Digital



LI:To display data on a graph.

This week for maths we had to create six graphsas a group.We made two hand drawing graph and four digital graphs to make six graphs in total.The first graph was done by everyone in our group digitally.FAzana and I made the hand drawn graphs,and the rest of the group made the digital graph.We had to statements for each graph to finish it.I enjoyed the acticvity.

Chrome setup



LI.how to chrome setup.
Last week we had  to do our chrome setup.First we had to find a partner that was in LS1 last year.When we finished the chrome set up we had to go again to screen shot it and put it on google slides.Next we had to paste the screen shot ones in the chrome setup,we had to name what it was.

Ki o Rahi
LI:to learn the orgins and basics of Ki O Rahi

This morning I we had our first week of kiwi sports. For this Kiwi Sport this term. We were Learning about Ki o Rahi. Our coach was coach Shanice.She introduce herself.She is going around the different schools so that the children will know the story of Rahi and Te Ara.First we watched a video that we called Rahi and Te Ara.It was about creating peace and harmony.


After that we played Taniwha and Kioma.The team was divided by girls and boys.If coach Shaice says''Taniwha!'' The girls run and the boys have to try and tag the girls.


The second game was 8 pass.
We were also had to be divied by girls and boys.The boys got the ball first and had to pass at their team mates,untill they got to 8.
The rules of this game were:

  • Share/Team work
  • Spread out
  • Communicate
