Paper Plane Averages

Time is when an event is happening.

Mean is adding up all the numbers then dividing the number by the total amount. Mean is also called as average. One example is 2+3+12+4+6=27÷5=5.4.

Median is to arrange the numbers into least to greatest. Take the middle number, if there's four numbers take two numbers that are in the middle, then add the two numbers together, and divide it by 2. One example is 1, 4, 8, 12, 13. 8 is the median.

Mode is to arrange the numbers into least to greatest. Then look at the number that has been seen twice. One example is 357789. 7 is the mode.

Five people has measured the time by paper air planes. Seeing the results showed how long the paper air plane was on air. Then converting the total time into secs, mins, and hours.

Comment Thread

Today I decided to comment on David's blog post on his Rounding (maths).

The first question that I asked to David was "Do you think you will use that solution to make a better time?"

I then gave him a positive feedback "I agree that the distance between the ball and the ground would make it faster."

Basic facts

Basic Facts Boxes is a maths activity that challenges people to solve maths problems using all four operations.

I completed the basic facts boxes division. I did 6 rows for division. I got the 6 rows of the questions correctly. I did this in 2 minutes and 53 second. I think I can improve my time by practicing this often.
