Skimming | Patō | Reading

The Patō is an electric drum with a microphone that is similar to a lali. It was made by Racheal Hall.

Racheal Hall wanted to create a musical instrument that connected to her Tongan heritage.

She started making plans and had different ideas of what the  Patō was going to be like.

The Patō can be used without electricity, and can also be hooked up to a computer or recorded, too.

Racheal has only made one. Now her next goal is to find a way to make more of them regularly. Click to Link ⇨ South Pacific Beats

Maths | Times Tables

Times tables are multiplying digits to come by an answer, and patterns are numbers that have been repeated.

To help remember the times tables easier we can remember fact family. Click to fact family ⇨ 9 times tables
Example of what a fact family is:

Multiplication: 3 x 5 = 15 / 5 x 3 = 15
Division: 15 ÷ 3 = 5 / 15 ÷ 5 = 3

Maths | 9 times table | Fact Families

A fact family is all the knowledge we know and that is unlocked within that fact. When people think of timetables people often think that they have to learn a lot to remember, like 7x6, 8x7, 4x8.

Fact families will help you remember the times tables like this below: Video
A fact family is - example:
5 x 3 = 15 is same as 3 x 5 = 15.

15 ÷ 3 = 5 is also same as 15 ÷ 5 = 3.
