Summer Learning Journey | Pixel Art

Today I have created my summer pixel art. My image is  a half eaten apple because I like eating them.

Pixel art is different sized squares with colours used to create a digital image. When creating one using a lot of squares can create a much better image then having a few squares can not create a proper image.

I found this easy because I have created a lot of pixel arts before.

  1. Kia ora Chisa,

Fiona from the SLJ team here. I really like your pixel art image of a half eaten apple! Great work! I think it is so cool how you were inspired to create an apple because this is a fruit you enjoy eating. I really like eating apples too. What are some other pixel art images you have made?

Ka pai for putting in such a high level of detail into your art, including an eye-catching background. Have you seen the stepping it up part of this activity? I think you would really enjoy it! You get to create an animated Christmas tree.

Keep up the fantastic blogging this week!

    Ka kite anō,
    Fiona (SLJ).

  2. Hi Chisa

This is a good piece of art using this form of presentation. The composition of your picture is very similar to some of the classic "still life " artists.Well done with the detail.

It is interesting that we are now creating pixilated pictures. There was a time when that was the only image computers produced and everyone worked hard to refine the images.

    Great to see your progress.

    regards
