Haiku Poem | Summer Learning Journey

Today I have done another activity called Haiku Poem.

First I watched a video about how to write a Haiku Poem. While watching this video I started to understand what it is.

Afterwards I picked a topic about birthday. Thinking of a topic took me a while because I had a lot in mind but chose one.

During this activity I understood more about what a Haiku poem is, and how to write it.

  1. Hi Chisa,
I thought your blurb was really good at explaining the task and it was really detailed. I thought the topic of your Haiku poem was really unique. In my opinion I found this activity really challenging as I don't write poems much. Did you find this task challenging?

    Great Job Chisa!

    1. Kia Ora Lukah,

Thank you for your positive comment. Something I found challenging was fitting the correct syllables for each line. Why do you think haiku poem is good for practicing poems?

I hope you had a good weekend!

Was it really your birthday on the weekend?? Happy birthday, hari huritau ki a koe if so !!

You’ve nailed the haiku, getting the syllables bang on, well done!

Remember there are the ‘step it up’ sections for most activities. For example, with this activity there were instructions to record yourself reading your haiku. Consider this if you want to step it up and get some more points.

Great work though in any case!

    Mā te wā

    Cheers,
    Ben
