Inferring

Inferring is figuring out something that is on the page using our prior knowledge and the clues.

To infer a picture of someone that is nearly going to run. First figure out what is happening in the image. Example: It is a running race. There is a person that is going to run.

Next write down the two clues that helped you find what is happening. Example: There is a running track. The person is wearing running gear.

Inferring is a helpful reading strategy because it will help with someones understanding of the image.

LI.to infer information not written in a text.
