My name is Rachel and I am working on the Summer Learning Journey programme this year. It is great to see that you have been so busy this week completing four days' worth of activities already. Wow! Way to go!
I really enjoyed reading through your activities, including today's design activity. I can see that you have included a watermelon in our house design. Yum! I love watermelon! Do you also like to eat watermelon? I hope that you get the chance this summer to enjoy many relaxing days with your family, eating special foods (including watermelon) and spending quality time together.
Our family is spending time together this afternoon for Christmas. We celebrate the holiday by getting together for a big meal over dinner. We also give each other small gifts. I am really looking forward to our meal together tonight. I think that we will have chicken or turkey.
Tonight's meal reminds me of a special Christmas meal that I had a few years ago when I was living in Japan. I lived in Nagano for a year, teaching English as a second language to students at a school in the middle of the city. I absolutely loved it! It was so nice to live in a city that was at the base of the mountains. I see that you were born in Japan. Where were you born? Was it close to Nagano City by any chance?'
I hope that you and your family are enjoying life here in New Zealand. In my opinion, it is a lovely place to live.
Hello Chisa! I am glad to see you have posted many activities for the Summer Learning Journey. This activity you posted was especially eye catching of the detail of it and you made it yourself. I am happy to see what else you can do with this programme, well done and keep it up!
What an amazing blog post seen from you again. Thanks for sharing your learning about your own house. The drawing looks amazing. I love the tools that you've used to make this. This house was made with digital and creative skills by you. "I LOVE IT". I'd like to visit it sometime.
