Time is when an event is happening.
There are different ways to measure units of time. They are: singing, egg timer, and water clock.
Singing a song has different tempos/speed depending on how fast or slow someones singing it. Washing your hands mostly take about 20 seconds. Making a batch of pancakes mostly takes about 30 minutes.
The water timer is used to get all the water out of the cup from the bottom by the time an activity has been done. The water timer took 2 minutes and 3 seconds.
The egg timer is used to count down the number of minutes depending on someones process on something. Boiling eggs takes about 6 to 8 minutes depending how soft someone wants it.
There are many other ways to measure non standard time. Singing in your head is easier and fun rather than having a 20 second timer while someone washes their hands.

Hi Chisa, there sure are a lot of different ways to measure time. It is good to know you don't always need a watch to time things if you have a good idea about how long things take? How long does it take you to get school in the morning?
