Formal and Informal language

Formality tells people when to use formal language or informal language.

Formal language is when a certain behavior need to be followed. Formal situation is sometimes used with formal language like at church, at a meeting, or at an assembly. 

Informal language is when a certain behavior doesn't need to be followed. Informal situation is mostly used with informal language like playing with mates, or at a park/playground. 

Formal and informal language is a good way to teach people to follow social rules.
