Email Etiquette ~ Cybersmart Challenge

LI.to write a quality email. 

Today I did another cybersmart challenge called email etiquette. When writing a good email to someone it allows the person who is reading to know what you are talking about specificly. I enjoyed doing this activity because it taught me how to write a better email when I am writing to someone. 

I am Google Meet ready

 LI.to make sure we all know what to do and are using Google Meet properly. 

Today for cybersmart I have done another challenge. This challenge was to make sure to be ready when we need to do a Google Meeting. 

In the first activity I rated which background looked the most appropriate when I am doing a Google Meeting. One of the things that everyone should remember is to not face your screen towards the window. If you do not do this it prevents the light from showing up on the screen around you, and it makes easier for people to see you from their screen. 

In the second activity was about Google Meet Etiquette. I needed to fill in the gaps of each image that matched the words. 

In the third I needed to write why keeping our camera on was important, why we should have our mic on mute, why is it important to sit still, and why is it important to find a quiet place. 

For my last activity I needed to take an image of myself getting ready for a Google Meet. 

I enjoyed doing this activity because I was able to recall of what is needed to be done before I do a Google Meet.

Cybersmart Challenge | My Digital Footprint

LI. to understand the concept of digital footstep.

Today for cybersmart we have looked at our digital footprint in the last 24 hours. The things that I have searched today were google, drive, blogger, gmail, google drawing, my class site, transum etc. This activity was to understand that everything that we do on the internet leaves a footprint. 

I enjoyed doing this activity because it tells us whatever site I go on it leaves a footprint. 

Cybersmart | Tidy Drive

LI.to tidy my google drive. 

Today for cybersmart I have cleaned my own google drive to the appropriate folder so that the DLO or the creation could be found easily. First, I copied a google slide and had 2 activities to complete. The 2 activities were dragging each creation to the right column and the second activity was to tidy my google drive. After finishing my first activity I cleaned out my drive, and took a screen shot to show that I have a clean drive. Something I found interesting was that half of my work was from 2020 that I haven't put in the folders. 

Favourite tip when using your chrome book

LI.to create a DLO that helps others become cyber smart. 

 

Today I have done another challenge on my favourite tip when I use my chrome book. First I made a copy of a google slide. In this first task three students were asked by their teacher what their first 6 bookmarks were on their bookmarks bar. I needed to choose one student who had the most appropriate bookmarks on their bookmarks bar, and explain why I chose this person. Next I shared my book book marks bar and also explain why I have those book marks there. Lastly I created a DLO on what my favourite tip when using my Chromebook. I enjoyed this activity because people that never used chrome books can learn from the DLO that I have created.
