Reading | South Pacific Beats

The Patō is a modern version of the lali designed from Rachael Hall. Rachael Hall wanted to connect back to her Tongan heritage, so she made a modern version of the lali.

The Patō has many different types of things in the drum like: the volume dial, the pitch adjuster and the microphone.

Rachael designed many different types of drums. Rachael used milling machine and a lathe to design the Patō. The Patō has a microphone that can be hooked up to a computer.

There is only one version of the Patō, so Rachael is working on making more Patō.
