Maths | Length

Length is how long an item or an object is. To measure people or things use rulers, measuring tapes, and meter rulers. The standard forms of measuring lengths are centimeters (cm), meters (m), kilometers (km), and millimeters (mm).

If a person knows the length of a table is 4 white boards, then they can compare the white board with a ruler and find the length of the white board. If they know the length of the white board then they can estimate it.

To turn centimeters to millimeters it has to be times by 10, and  it will shift to the left. To turn centimeters to meters it has to be divided by 10, and it will shift to the right.
