Skimming | Patō | Reading

The Patō is an electric drum with a microphone that is similar to a lali. It was made by Racheal Hall.

Racheal Hall wanted to create a musical instrument that connected to her Tongan heritage.

She started making plans and had different ideas of what the  Patō was going to be like.

The Patō can be used without electricity, and can also be hooked up to a computer or recorded, too.

Racheal has only made one. Now her next goal is to find a way to make more of them regularly. Click to Link ⇨ South Pacific Beats

  1. Kia Ora Chisa,
Well done on your book summary, it has taught me a lot about Pacific instruments. I really like the details you have put into each page summary, well done. Do you have any traditional instruments within your Japanese culture? I would love to know some information about them.
