Poetry | Inquiry

LI.to indentify purpose for poems.
Poetry is a text for communicating ideas and expressing feelings to people.
 Poetry can include sound patterns.
They are rhyme and rhythem. Rhyming is repeated sounds in words.
They are four kinds of rhyme:consonence, end rhyme, alliteration, and assonace

Consonance is repeated sound. For an example crock and cry crocodile.

End rhyme is having text and words in the text, have sounds like e.g,like hicory dicory dock. The mouse went up the clock.Dock and clock have the ''ock'' in them.

Alliteration is repeating the begginging sounds in the words.Example the crocodile crew croaked creepily. the alliteration in this is c.

Assonance is a repeated vowel sound. Example: An Excited Egg Exploded Extremely. The assonance in this is E. Excited, Egg, Exploded and Extremely are all beginning with E so this is assonance.
