LI.to create a simple curry. 

Today was our third session of Food Tech at Tamaki College. Our food for today was to create a curry instructed by Mrs Heka. The people that I worked with to create the curry was Bella and Ariana. The curry that we made as a team was really good because we had everyone engaging everything, as well as collaborating. Something I found interesting was that the spinach didn't taste like there wasn't any in the curry. I enjoyed eating the curry because when the curry was cooking it smelt really good. 

Cybersmart | Tidy Drive

LI.to tidy my google drive. 

Today for cybersmart I have cleaned my own google drive to the appropriate folder so that the DLO or the creation could be found easily. First, I copied a google slide and had 2 activities to complete. The 2 activities were dragging each creation to the right column and the second activity was to tidy my google drive. After finishing my first activity I cleaned out my drive, and took a screen shot to show that I have a clean drive. Something I found interesting was that half of my work was from 2020 that I haven't put in the folders. 

Celebrating the Summer Learning Journey

 LI. To celebrate our PBS SLJ participants.

I really enjoyed the activities set for our senior students to keep our learning going over summer. It was really fun getting challenges from Nano Girl that was done. I have got the 2nd place winner of the SLJ 2020~2021 certificate that was presented from Mrs Grant and Miss Paleti, and presented the prizes. The first place was Sakshi, and the third place was Te Raumati. Congratulations to Sakshi our PBS top blogger, top commenter, top blogger for Maiakalani. Then Mr Johnsten picked 4 winners that done the SLJ %50 more that received a speaker was Te Raumati, Chisa, Heavenly, and Bella. 

PB4L Positive Behaviour For Learning | Acceptable Uniform

LI.to understand the proper way of wearing school uniform

Today for PB4L my group has wrote the acceptable uniform. First,we looked at what we should wear and not wear in our school uniform. Next we looked at what accessories we accept at school like religious items like necklaces, or anklets, and more. Then we looked at the formal situation that showed what we should only wear and not wear in assembly, prize giving, Manaiakalani Film Festival, etc. Lastly we created of an image for the girls uniform, and what girls should wear.

America's Cup Summery

Today my group have summarised about the America’s Cup which is a yacht race. First, we used our prior knowledge to write for what we already knew like this year the America's Cup is played in Auckland Harbour. Next, we circled all of the words that we thought was important. After that,wrote down 20 important words that we circled down. Then we chose the 6 most important words to write a summary in a few sentences. Something I found interesting was that the Emirates Team New Zealand has won 5 in total.

Tech Reflection

LI.to make banana pikelets

Today was our second day of tech at Tamaki College, and our teacher was Mrs Heka. The year 7's were doing food tech. Our task was to create a banana pikelets following the instructions Mrs Heka told us. For this activity I worked with Roxi and Ariana. Something I found interesting was that making pikelets is really easy using ingredients that you know.  

Ko wai ahau?

Konnichiwa, my name is Chisa. I am a year 7 student in Panmure Bridge School. My teachers are Mrs Anderson and Mrs Fisi’iahi. One of my favorite hobbies is playing tennis. My favourite subject is reading and writing. Some of the food I enjoy eating are raw fish, noodles, curry, and ice cream. I have an older brother, a mum, and a dad. The languages I speak are Japanese and English. My goal for this year is to improve my tennis skills to get to S9 for the end of this year, and to improve my math abilities.

Favourite tip when using your chrome book

LI.to create a DLO that helps others become cyber smart. 

 

Today I have done another challenge on my favourite tip when I use my chrome book. First I made a copy of a google slide. In this first task three students were asked by their teacher what their first 6 bookmarks were on their bookmarks bar. I needed to choose one student who had the most appropriate bookmarks on their bookmarks bar, and explain why I chose this person. Next I shared my book book marks bar and also explain why I have those book marks there. Lastly I created a DLO on what my favourite tip when using my Chromebook. I enjoyed this activity because people that never used chrome books can learn from the DLO that I have created. 

Asking to go to the bathroom, drink, or office

Today we have done an activity on asking to go to the bathroom, drink, or office. First we thought of different ways why it’s important to let the teacher know they need to leave the room, who is affected if they do not follow the system, and how would you feel if something went wrong. After thinking of three different examples we started to write down the answer that we thought was the best. Something I found interesting during this activity was sharing what we thought was a good cybersmart to show younger children.

Outside the Box Art

LI:  To think outside the box, be creative and complete the picture

This challenge was to think outside the box and be creative by creating a picture from the lines that were drawn on the DLO. To complete this task we were asked to continue the drawing and create an image. Something I enjoyed was creating the mermaid tail because it was really good after I finished drawing. Two things I found challenging was to created the hands, and the face because I am not good at drawing characters faces.
